Working together
I started at De Meeuw, meanwhile VDL De Meeuw, in December 2021. I find the commercial aspect more interesting than I thought: It's fun to score projects. Especially together with the team. You put your shoulders to the wheel together, do everything you can to come up with something good and put it in place.
VDL De Meeuw is a company that is growing rapidly and holds the future with its product.
In the beginning I found the modular aspect of this type of construction difficult. For a while I had the idea that the fixed shapes would limit my ideas and design. Now I have completely changed my mind about that. Meanwhile, the challenge is the other way around: how to make a beautiful contemporary building with such a good, modular and circular idea. A building, moreover, that can grow and shrink horizontally and vertically.
Social Contribution
Sustainability and circularity are very important to me. I also like the fact that VDL De Meeuw can make a social contribution, such as the housing of refugees, which is very topical right now.
