System Architect Dynamics
Job mission
As a System Architect Dynamics, you are responsible for defining and translating customer performance requirements into a coherent and feasible system design for complex, vibration-sensitive industrial equipment. You lead and challenge a team to achieve optimal dynamic behavior based on validated specifications.
You operate independently, take ownership of technical decisions and provide hands-on support throughout the full development lifecycle. Based on your in-depth industrial experience, you review, judge and report on detailed calculations, simulations and design choices. You work closely with colleagues from multiple disciplines and act as a senior technical sparring partner.
Furthermore, you are responsible for:
Defining requirements (modules/systems): Translating customer performance specifications into concrete dynamic requirements for modules and systems.
Defining requirements (analysis): Specifying analytical and experimental analyses required for performance prediction and validation.
Performing analysis: Executing and interpreting calculations and tests to assess and validate dynamic behavior of high-precision systems.
Driving design improvements: Communicating evidence-based insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and steering pragmatic design decisions to meet industrial performance targets.
Knowledge development: Actively contributing to the further development of dynamics expertise within the organization.
Your strength
Education & experience: University Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, ,inimum of 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in an industrial (non-academic) environment, working on vibration-sensitive or high-precision systems. Experience within the semiconductor equipment industry or comparable high-tech capital equipment is required / strongly preferred.
Technical knowledge: Strong and proven understanding of machine dynamics in complex, industrial systems. Experience with topics such as dynamic substructuring, multibody dynamics, vibration isolation, passive/active damping, modal analysis and vibrometry
Experience (applications): Hands-on experience with analysis and testing of high-precision, vibration-sensitive industrial machines. Experience with systems developed for high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
Experience (tools): Demonstrated professional experience with FEM tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, Nastran, etc.). Experience with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, etc.). Strong proficiency with computational tools (MATLAB, Python, Simulink, etc.)
Professional maturity: Proven ability to independently manage complex technical analyses within multidisciplinary industrial project teams
Demonstrated capability to make and defend technical decisions based on engineering judgment and experience.
