Work & Learn

Want to work and learn at the same time? You can at VDL. VDL Groep offers practice-based programmes and internships for students in secondary vocational education. Are you passionate about engineering, highly motivated, and do you enjoy learning new things? If so, a day release programme would be a great fit for you.

What does a day release programme entail?
In a day release programme, you take theory classes at an institution for secondary vocational education for one day a week. And on the remaining four days, you learn the trade in real life at one of our 52 accredited learning companies. This way, you get the best combination of learning and working. During your training, you will be working at a VDL company on an apprenticeship contract and your tuition fees are paid for you. There will be a job at one of the VDL companies waiting for you after you graduate, and you can always keep learning while working at VDL, if you want.

Please note that not all training programmes are available the whole year round
