New product logistics engineer

Job Description

As New Product Logistics Engineer you are responsible for the logistics in an New Product Introduction project. In this project you work together with other disciplines on the realization of new products, from the Design phase via Prototype construction to the Pilot series. You are the linking pin between customer, design team and our organization. Internally you make and coordinate the planning which takes you through the entire company, from Planning to Parts manufacturing, from Purchasing to Assembly. At hiccups you work together with colleagues on solutions to still deliver the product on time. Main responsibilities:

• You align with the customer / project teams about the critical path and our need dates for the design documentation;
• You draw up a realization plan with the internal departments, monitor/drive progress and report on it, internally and to the customer;
• You plan and coordinate the material flow of critical parts;
• You organize the review of the engineering changes in terms of manufacturability, delivery time and costs;
• You coordinate the implementation of engineering changes in ongoing production and the supply chain;
• You implement the logistics processes from proto to volume manufacturing.

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar;
• Preferably you have several years of experience with planning/logistics in a production environment;
• You have good organizational and communication skills and you are able to take the lead in a complex process with various players; 
• You are independent, hands-on, assertive and result-oriented;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language.
• Room for ambition to develop yourself towards a project management / department management position
